So, for the last week or so, I have been doing test after test, still not daring to believe the two red positive lines that show up. But after a test at the doctors last week, it was finally confirmed that I, Iris J Grey, am with child.
When the doctor told me, I was so happy, I could literally feel the smile spreading across my face and I knew that there was no way of me getting it off of there. The receptionist at my GP's took my details and booked me in for an appointment with the midwife for tomorrow morning at 11:15am.
I am beyond excited. Since finding out, I have noticed a few pregnancy symptoms from nausea to mad hunger pangs. And sore boobies to a more rounded tum. I am still quite early in my pregnancy, with tomorrow being bringing me to my 6th week, but I am loving every moment and every experience.
My sister is pregnant too, she is 4 months pregnant, but she is the only one who seems peeved about me being pregnant. We discussed it before hand and I told her of how much 'we' had been trying, but I think she thought that it would take longer than it has....and now, her limelight has been threatened. She doesnt quite know what to do about her resentment, so she has been a bit offish with me. It is nothing direct, but she is definately a lot silent that she was, she never talks about me being pregnant or if she does, then it is a negative, like; 'My child will be the first born'.
Like that matters any!
Other than that, everyone else has been extremely happy for me. I know they say to wait before telling people, but I couldnt wait, so everyone knew the day after I did. :D
Its all good news. I am off now to watch BIG BROTHER!
