The start of a new week....and already things ARENT going well.

I woke this morning, crabby and tired, because I had gone to bed exceptionally late last night and then woke this morning at a stupid early hour. This is a common thing for me, I generally cant sleep the night before, but when it comes to waking up on a morning...I cant do that either. A endless cycle of me being tired then begins.

Getting ready for work, I noticed that my cardigan needed a quick wash, so with time to kill before I had to set out to work, I threw it in the washer on the quickest cycle. But five minutes into washing, my machine started coughing and spluttering, obviously not liking the hot sauce on the collar! The next moment was a blur of water flowing and me tip-toeing through warm soapy water!

Not Good!

I phoned the landlord and told him that 'Euston, we have a problem'. He didnt seem to see the funny side and groaned at having to sort out my washer again. (It has broken down a couple of times in the past 18 months).

We arrange a time slot for the repairman to come out and its fitted in for this morning at AM - so my next task is to phone work and beg for the morning off. This task left me feeling rather quilty. It is a Monday morning and I am telling my boss that I cant come in because my washer has broke and that I need the morning off.....It sounds like an excuse!

He lets me have it off, a slight hint of disbelief in his voice. So much so, that I feel like I need to explain myself and describe the way my washing machine acted as it died.

Now...I wait for the repairman to arrive. But what do I do as a wait. I cant pick up a book, because I cant shut everything out. I cant take a shower, just in case the 'dude' comes. I am not answering the door in just a towel.

So, here I am, at the laptop, writing my thoughts down for you all to see. You lucky lucky people.

But....I am still waiting for the repairman. I will let you know what time he actually shows!
